Individual Therapy

If you’re here, you might be looking for some support. Taking this first step shows strength, and it’s completely normal to feel nervous or unsure about starting therapy. Reaching out doesn’t indicate personal failing. Rather, it’s a sign of caring for yourself and being brave. Therapy gives you a safe place to talk about what’s on your mind.

  • Play therapy uses play as a natural way for children to share and express their feelings, especially when they have trouble putting them into words. Through play, children find a safe space to understand hard experiences, grow emotionally, and learn coping tools that fit their stage of development.

  • Today’s teens juggle the demands of real life, social media, and the challenges of growing up. Individual therapy gives them a safe, judgment-free space to express themselves openly. Here, they can explore who they are, build coping skills, and learn to navigate strong emotions with greater confidence.

  • I support individuals facing a wide range of challenges, such as: addiction and substance use disorders, anxiety disorders, adjustment difficulties, depression/mood disorders, grief and bereavement, stress and burnout, personal development and growth, and trauma.

I am dually registered with the HPCSA as both a Counselling Psychologist and an Industrial/Organisational Psychologist. This combined expertise enables me to address both personal well-being and workplace challenges. I help clients manage stress, improve work-life balance, and navigate career transitions by developing effective strategies tailored to their unique situations.

Assessments

  • School Readiness Assessments

School-readiness assessments help find out if a child is ready for the academic and social demands of Grade 1. These assessments evaluate physical, cognitive, emotional, and social skills to determine if extra support, increased stimulation, or a possible Grade R delay is necessary, enabling each child to start school with confidence.

  • Psychoeducation Assessment

A psycho-educational assessment is a thorough evaluation by a psychologist to understand a learner’s cognitive, academic, and emotional or behavioural strengths and needs. This process helps find barriers to learning and guides recommendations for support, accommodations, and interventions to help each learner succeed.

  • Career Counselling/ Subject Choice Assessment

Career counselling and subject choice assessments combine psychometric tools and expert insight to help students uncover their strengths, interests, and values. This process leads to tailored recommendations for school subjects, academic journeys, and future careers, aligning each student’s unique qualities with their goals to inspire motivation and success.
